Following the strong reception of their debut, Gravehost return with more weight, more aggression, and another dose of melodic metal. Gravehost has released their second single, Forgotten Name, today, October 9, 2026!
Where Fading Colours introduced Gravehost’s combination of heavy distorted guitars, atmospheric melodies, and alternating growled and clean vocals, Forgotten Name pushes the band’s sound further into heavier and more aggressive territory. Crushing guitar riffs, powerful rhythms, melodic passages and dynamic vocals create a track that combines intensity with a strong melodic edge.
Lyrically, Forgotten Name tells a darker story of self-destruction, lost direction and the consequences of one’s own choices. The song follows a person trapped in the aftermath of decisions shaped by ignorance and false beliefs, desperately searching for a way back while drifting further from the light.
The recurring imagery of fire represents a destruction that is, at least in part, self-inflicted. At the heart of the song is the idea of losing one’s identity along the way. “Forgot your name” captures the moment when a person has drifted so far from themselves that they no longer recognize who they are.
The song leaves the listener with a painful realization: clarity may eventually arrive, but some things cannot be recovered. The day is gone, and there is no way to turn back time.
Forgotten Name is the second single from Gravehost’s upcoming debut EP, Remnants, set for release on November 20, 2026.
